PrivacySecure�, Inc. (PSI) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: www.PrivacySecure.com . PrivacySecure�, Inc. (PSI) has adopted a set of information management guidelines which serve as the basis for our customer relationships. We do not sell space to advertisers on this site. Links to third parties on the site are provided as an educational service to our customers and visitors. These guidelines have been developed with the recognition that Internet technologies are rapidly evolving, and that underlying business models are still not established. Accordingly, guidelines are subject to change. Any such changes will be posted on this page.
1. What information does PrivacySecure�, Inc. (PSI) gather/track about you?
PSI requires that consumers supply personal information, including e-mail address, during the registration process only when applying for a privacy seal and when filing a complaint against a company displaying a PrivacySecure� seal. (Some of the personal information we request is voluntary; the word "required" does not appear next to these questions.) Demographic information provided by a subscriber may be combined with site usage reports to profile, in aggregate form, users and their preferences in site content.
PSI also logs IP addresses, or the location of your computer on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. We do not log IP addresses to track a user's session, nor do we link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.
2. What does PrivacySecure�, Inc. (PSI) do with the information it gathers/tracks?
PSI may perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure relative consumer interest in the various areas of our site (for service development purposes). In performance of these statistical analyses, we will not disclose information to third parties in any form other than total site visits and page views. Personal information or demographics on individual subscribers will not be provided to any third party at any time.
Using the e-mail addresses provided at registration, PSI periodically sends e-mail to its customers about services offered by PSI. PSI may contact a customer regarding account status or changes to the subscriber agreement.
3. With whom does PrivacySecure�, Inc. (PSI) share the information it gathers/tracks?
PSI does not share subscriber information with advertisers and other partners. We do not release personal information about any individual subscriber to any third parties. We also do not sell or share email addresses with any third party, advertiser or other partners. PSI will provide a subscriber a summary of his or her personal information provided at registration upon request. This information will only be sent to the e-mail address on file for the subscriber name associated with it.
Upon request, PSI will remove any subscriber (and his or her personal information) from our database, or allow any subscriber to "opt out" of further contact (while still allowing access to the site) or change/correct personal information that the subscriber states is erroneous. To obtain an information summary or request a change of information, send e-mail to Customer Service.
4. How does PrivacySecure�, Inc. protect sensitive personal information gathered on its website?
PrivacySecure�, Inc. does not maintain any personally identifiable information online that is not kept in an encrypted file with protected access. Visitors, customers and users are given the option to transmit data through a secure server.
PSI is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of Web sites to which it may link.
