Privacy Seal Programs for Businesses 
             -
protect email privacy for your customers. 

PrivacySecure® encourages programs such as BBBOnLine® Privacy Program (see Note).   They are both excellent organizations. We have the same high standards, but since we're serving the small business sector, we are able to offer substantially lower membership fees.

Do you qualify for membership with PrivacySecure®? Will your website soon proudly wear the PrivacySecure® seal? Read the qualifications below carefully. If you have further questions, read our FAQ page, and if you still need help, please contact us at support@privacysecure.com .

 After your application approval, we will provide you with a graphic privacy seal and the proper coding so your customers can verify your membership (see example). We will continue to monitor your company and will perform procedures to verify your compliance with your published privacy statement. We will also monitor complaints your customers or visitors may have about your failure to comply with your stated policies. If you fail to resolve or arbitrate complaints about non-compliance with your published policy statement, your participation in the PrivacySecure® program will be terminated. If your participation is terminated for non-compliance with your privacy statement, your annual fee will be forfeited.

Using PrivacySecure®, your company will be much more popular with online consumers who are tired of all the spam, tired of business who sell their email address to everyone and tired of dealing with businesses who major goal is to get money from them, but not provide quality products or services in return.

 

 

Qualifications for Participation

  1. We strongly encourage, but do not require, participation in the BBBOnLine® (see Note) program. We do require that your business have a satisfactory record of complaint resolution with the Better Business Bureau. Companies with a record of unresolved complaints will be given the opportunity to reapply after their complaints have been resolved.

  2. Your company must have been in business for at least one year.

  3. Your website must have a published Privacy Statement that describes your use of data collected from your visitors. This statement must be easily located on your website. You must follow a set of minimum guidelines to protect the privacy of your customers.

  4. If your company collects payment information from consumers, this information must be collected in a secure manner using a secure server. If you make it possible for users to submit credit card information or any type of payment information in a non-secure manner, your application will not be approved, even if users are given an option to use a secure server.  Please review recommended security programs for ecommerce sites.

  5. You must give PrivacySecure®, Inc. permission to perform a credit check with Dun & Bradstreet as well as a review of your record with the Better Business Bureau (see Note).

  6. Your must agree to attempt to resolve all privacy disputes or to submit to binding arbitration in the event that such disputes cannot be resolved between the parties.

  7. Before we will issue the PrivacySecure® logo for your website, we must approve your privacy statement and receive a signed agreement from your company. We must also receive the payment of your annual fee. Please complete the following three steps, so we can begin processing your application immediately.

Three Action Steps:
  1. Write a privacy statement and display it on your website.
  2. Complete the application.
  3. Upon approval, pay your annual fee (See fee structure below.). The email message we send approving your application will contain payment instructions.

* Monthly fees are payable via monthly PayPal subscription, credit card or via check. Payment by check must be annually in advance.  PayPal or credit card payments are accepted either monthly or annually.
